A MEANINGFUL CAFE MEETING

It was March 5, 2008 Ptr. Ronald Carpio and Ptr. Henry Alumbro had a meeting at the RNB Cafe along Regalado St., North Fairview, Quezon City. It was just a normal talks like no other when people got into a cafe. But while we were sharing the goodness of God in our lives, we reached the point of saying our personal visions, and followed by a decision to pioneer a church that will help evangelizing our area of responsibilty and to help other churches around or beyond with our God-endowed talent.

The focus of the conversation dwelled on the failure of the existing churches to keep the people in the fold, motivate them, and the people involvement in reaping of souls for Christ. The failure of developing sheepherd and flock relationship. The biblical -  based principles that needs to be in constant practice in the church and in the fellowship of the brethren.

A GLIMPSE OF THE WORSHIP CENTER

Soon after the bi-talk, Ptr. Ronald showed me a building that was under-contruction by that time. We even took pictures of it, saved it in our mobile phones as screen saver and feed it with everyday prayers.

Keeping the venue in our prayers imaginably, both of us went through some go-back-to-the-basic retreats and seminars. Thank God for our G12 Family in the leadership of Ptr. Oriel Balano who was there in the perfect place in the exact time. This guy is doing a lot of spiritual healing to pastors of different denominations. As if, God is keeping the vision in us at the same level and intensity. We invited the would-be part of the church leaders to join with us in our search fo confirmation and building up the courage to start a new ministry. That was the organizing of the Core Group.

NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME

My wife Marilou Reyes Alumbro,  was lead by God to talk to us to immediatly start the worship service. We decided to conduct the first service and got the May 11, 2008 schedule. But we forgot the venue, we overlooked the marked venue and tried to look for a place somewhere in the Neopolitan area just to find out later that it would take us too large amount of money to rent and maintain it. We did not find a place of worship.  As we on our way home, carrying the feeling of discouragement, soon I remember the place we are praying for. My wife Lui and I visited the area and amazingly God answered our prayers. We got the place called Mt. Sinai Heights with the owner in God's side and we inked the contract in a very affordable price

The venue, came with complete ammenities like chairs, tables, sound system, water dispenser, two units of 3 tonner air-conditioners with two 1.5 HP more, and a parking space.

THE PLANNING

A week before the first service, the CORE GROUP composed of Ptr. Ronald Carpio, Mai Angco
Sis. Dane, Doc. Vic Gonzales, Bro. Moi, Faye Reyes, Lui Alumbro and Ptr. Henry Alumbro met to finalize some concerns in Figaro, Ever Com., Quezon City.

Finances just flowed in the purchase of instrument and gadgets needed like complete musical instruments, LCD projector and microphones. That was May 10, 2008.

There were 50 people attended the first service comprised of mostly family members of the core. From then on God is adding souls in our midst.

May 11, 2008, Fairview Celebrate Life Church was born. Along with the church, birthed is the vision and core committment to be used by God until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, to be a blessing to our communities, cities, and the world.
